La Reine Suriyothai - Somdet Phra Suriyothai, สมเด็จพระสุริโยทัย
Queen Suriyothai - aussi connu sous le nom de Somdet Phra Suriyothai, สมเด็จ พระ สุริโย ทั ย était une légendaire reine au cours du 16e siècle Ayutthaya période de Siam (Thaïlande maintenant).
Elle est célèbre pour avoir donné sa vie pour la défense de son roi. La signification de son nom en thaï est "sunrise". (+ Suriya Uthai, Suriya = SUN, Uthai = Rising)

Suriyothai was queen during the early part of the reign of King Maha Chakapat (2091 to 2106 Buddhist Era, with another reign from 2111 to 2112 B.E.). In 1548 AD, barely six months into King Maha Chakapat’s reign, the King of Burma invaded Siam with the intent of sacking the main capital, Ayutthaya.
As was the custom at the time, King Maha Chakapat led his troops in the defense of the city from atop his war elephant. Even though women were not permitted to take part in battle, Queen Suriyothai was so concerned for her husband that she disguised herself as a man and rode into battle on her own elephant.
During the battle with Burmese troops, King Maha Chakapat’s elephant collapsed from wounds and he was in danger of being killed. Queen Suriyothai rode her elephant to protect her husband and was killed by a scythe.
A memorial chedi to Queen Suriyothai, Phra Chedi Sisuriyothai, was built by King Maha Chakapat in her honor. The chedi is located at Wat Suanluang Sopsawan at the banks of the Chao Phraya, southwest of the Wang Luang (Royal Palace). There is also a memorial park to her outside of Ayutthaya, featuring a large statue of the queen riding a war elephant.
In 2001, a Thai movie about her life, The Legend of Suriyothai, was released. The film was directed by M.C. Chatrichalerm Yukol of the Thai Royal Family and financed by Queen Sirikit.

Elle n'a pas gagné la finale mais a tout de même fini 2ème avec un contrat en poche avec une maison de disque.
Espérons qu'elle retrouve un peu la sérénité que lui avaient fait perdre des paparazzi avant cette finale.

INCROYABLE ! Tout le monde s'esclaffait à son arrivée ou lors de sa présentation. Vous pensez bien, une femme de 47 ans sans emploi et ne répondant pas exactement aux standards de la beauté. Et bien, dès les premières notes de chant, subjugués ils étaient, tant le jury moqueur que le public par cette incroyable voix ! EXCEPTIONNEL !
La BMW M5 G-Power Hurricane est un monstre que nous avons déjà cotoyé à plusieurs reprises sur News Auto. Cette berline, dont le V10 est doté de deux compresseurs, développe la puissance incroyable de 750 ch, dans sa définition la plus récente.
C’est avec un tel modèle que son préparateur, G-Power, a battu au mois de novembre dernier le record de vitesse pour une berline. Jusqu’alors c’était Brabus qui le détenait avec sa non moins spectaculaire Rocket (sur base de Mercedes CLS).
C’est sur le circuit de Papenburg, au Nord-Est de l’Allemagne, que ce record a été battu. La G-Power Hurricane RS a atteint 367,4 km/h (228,3 mph), battant d’un cheveu une Rocket mesurée à 365,7 km/h au mois d’octobre 2006. Brabus (ou un autre) répondra-t-il ? Mais G-Power semble avoir quelques chevaux en réserve. Le préparateur annonce en effet que le V10 à double compresseur peut encore évoluer et qu’il n’a pas livré tout son potentiel !
